What We Believe
Rooted in the Word.
Empowered by the Holy Ghost.
"Preach the Gospel. Cultivate Disciples. Multiply the Kingdom."
At Jayla White Davis Ministries, we believe in the transforming power of Jesus Christ, the authority of the Word of God, and the present-day ministry of the Holy Ghost. We are committed to preaching the Gospel, cultivating disciples, and equipping believers to walk in their God-given purpose.
We believe Jesus Christ has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for ministry, build up the body of Christ, and bring believers into spiritual maturity and unity.
We believe these ministry gifts are relevant to the Church today.
ScriptureEphesians 4:11–13
We believe prayer is essential to the life of every believer. Through prayer, we cultivate intimacy with God, seek His will, intercede for others, and depend upon His power.
We believe in fervent prayer, corporate prayer, intercession, and praying in faith.
ScriptureJames 5:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Philippians 4:6
We believe in the person, presence, and power of the Holy Ghost.
We believe the Holy Ghost empowers believers to witness, live holy lives, grow spiritually, and fulfill the work of ministry.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the continuing work of the Spirit in the Church today.
ScriptureActs 1:8; Acts 2:1–4; John 14:26
We believe all the spiritual gifts described in Scripture remain available for the edification of the Church, according to the will and distribution of the Holy Ghost.
These include:
- Word of wisdom
- Word of knowledge
- Faith
- Gifts of healing
- Working of miracles
- Prophecy
- Discerning of spirits
- Different kinds of tongues
- Interpretation of tongues
We believe spiritual gifts should operate in love, biblical order, humility, and submission to the Word of God.
Scripture1 Corinthians 12:7–11; 1 Corinthians 13; 1 Corinthians 14:40
We believe every believer is called to grow in Christ, bear spiritual fruit, and participate in the Great Commission.
We are committed to cultivating disciples who are grounded in Scripture, empowered by the Holy Ghost, and equipped to teach and serve others.
